Packing Up Mirrors



First of all, put adhesive tape across the face of the mirror like an X to keep the pieces in place in case the glass breaks or cracks on transition. Choose a right size of picture box. Prepare it for packing up of art work by putting wadded blank newsprint paper on the bottom of the box or each box. Do not close the top end of the box. Wrap each individual mirror correctly with enough layers of good quality wrapping sheets or blank newsprint papers or bubble wraps. Now, put the mirror inside the box carefully and smoothly. Fill empty spaces of the box with lightly wadded blank newsprint papers, if mirror fit loosely in the box. Seal the box to close firmly using high-quality packaging tape. Mark the box – “FRAGILE MIRROR”.

Learn How to Pack Cups & Glasses

Required Packing Supplies:
  1. Blank newsprint paper, Bubble Wrap, Wrapping Sheets
  2. Dish pack box (5.2 cubic feet)
  3. Packaging Tape
  4. Marking Pen
  5. Labeling Stickers
  6. Scissors or Knife

Packing Tips for Cups and Glassware:
  1. Wrap each piece of glassware or cup in piece of bubble wrap or good quality wrapping sheet or blank newsprint paper; and tape it properly. You may use blank newsprint paper instead of Bubble Wrap, but be careful that the newsprint doesn't smudge.
  2. If you will pack the glasses and cups in one box then skip to step 3. If you will pack them with other items you should place them on top.
  3. Prepare a box and put a layer of wadded newsprint paper or peanuts or other padding supplies on the bottom of the moving boxes for cushioning to items you will place.
  4. Place wrapped cups or glasses on upright position as if you were placing them on the table. Place a layer of cardboard and another layer of packing material on top and the sides.
  5. Fill sides with peanuts or newsprint. You may also use dividers between cups and glasses (ask your mover for availability of product).
  6. Keep layering until you've reached the top. Tape shut the box and mark "Fragile – Cups/Glasses - Handle with Care."
